Grease the inside of a crock pot with butter or coconut oil.
Mix together and pour into crock pot:

¾ c. brown or white sugar
·
1 c. flour
·
3 T. unsweetened cocoa powder
·
3 t. baking powder
·
½ t. salt
·
½ c. milk
·
2 T. melted butter
Pat the cake batter until evenly spread along the bottom.
Mix together and sprinkle on top:
·
¾ c. brown or white sugar
·
¼ c. unsweetened cocoa powder
Pour 1 ¾ c. boiling water evenly on top.
DO NOT STIR. Cover and cook on high 2-3 hours.
Cake is done when the top is solid and the edges are bubbling. Serve with whipped cream or ice cream (or both)!
